Padel Coach
About Neighbourhood Padel
Neighbourhood Padel is looking for an enthusiastic, commercially minded Padel Coach to join our team in Birmingham.
We’re building a vibrant padel community where new players feel welcome, regular players keep improving, and people enjoy spending time both on and around the courts.
We’re looking for someone who shares that approach and wants to play an important part in growing the coaching programme and wider padel community at the venue.
The Role
You’ll deliver high-quality, engaging coaching to players across a range of abilities, from complete beginners picking up a racket for the first time through to established players looking to develop their game.
Just as importantly, we want someone who enjoys bringing people together. You’ll help us develop clinics, group programmes, socials, competitions and other activities that encourage players to return regularly and progress within the sport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging individual and group padel coaching sessions.
- Coach players across beginner, improver, intermediate and more advanced levels.
- Create a welcoming and enjoyable environment, particularly for people who are new to padel.
- Develop structured coaching programmes, clinics and player-development sessions.
- Support junior, adult and corporate coaching where appropriate.
- Help organise and deliver social padel sessions, events, competitions and community activities.
- Encourage players to progress from introductory sessions into regular coaching and match play.
- Build strong relationships with members, regular players and the wider Birmingham padel community.
- Work closely with the Neighbourhood Padel team to help grow participation and court utilisation.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, safety and customer experience on court.
- Act as a positive ambassador for Neighbourhood Padel.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An experienced padel player and coach with a recognised coaching qualification or suitable equivalent experience.
- Energetic, personable and confident working with players of different ages and abilities.
- An excellent communicator who can make coaching both enjoyable and technically valuable.
- Passionate about getting new people into padel.
- Comfortable taking the initiative and developing new sessions and programmes.
- Commercially aware, with an understanding that great coaching should build participation, retention and a thriving player community.
- Reliable, professional and organised.
- Comfortable working flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.
Most importantly, personality matters. We want someone approachable and enthusiastic who players look forward to seeing and coaching with.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to play a central role in developing the coaching programme at Neighbourhood Padel.
- An established city-centre padel venue and growing player community.
- Scope to develop your own coaching following and programme.
- Opportunities across individual coaching, group sessions, corporate events, socials and player-development programmes.
- A supportive team with ambitious plans for the growth of Neighbourhood Padel.
- A remuneration structure appropriate to the experience of the successful candidate.
We are also open to discussing freelance or interim arrangements with the right coach.
