Expansion and Operations Role @ Padel People
Expansion and Operations Role
This is a hands-on, fast-moving role that sits across project management, business development, and operations. You’ll start by supporting the team with new site openings, helping turn signed deals into live, revenue generating venues, and gradually take on more responsibility in the day-to-day running of the business as you grow into the role. It’s deliberately fluid and will evolve with both you and the company.
In the first few months, you’ll be supporting new site launches from agreement through to opening, coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and venue partners, and helping keep projects on track across multiple locations. You’ll assist with timelines, planning, and general organisation, while also getting involved in business development through research, outreach, and supporting new opportunities. As the role develops, you’ll begin to take ownership of site launches, contribute to ongoing operations across multiple venues, and help improve systems and processes as we scale. You’ll work closely with the founders and be expected to get stuck in wherever needed — this is very much a startup environment.
The role will require regular travel to sites, so you’ll need to be comfortable driving and spending time on the road as we open and manage locations. You’ll also be expected to spend at least two days per week working from our office in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, with the rest of your time split between site visits and WFH.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once. You should be a strong communicator, able to deal confidently with partners, suppliers, and internal teams, and have a commercial mindset with an understanding of how a business operates. You don’t need years of experience in padel necessarily, but you do need to be sharp, reliable, and willing to figure things out quickly. An interest in sport, startups, or property would be a bonus.
