The fundamental rules of Padel for your first game.

  • Padel is usually played as doubles on an enclosed court.
  • The aim is to hit the ball over the net into your opponent’s side.
  • The ball must bounce once before it can touch the glass or fence. Hitting the glass or fence first is out.
  • Players can use the walls after the bounce, similar to squash.
  • Serves are underarm and must be hit diagonally into the service box.
  • The ball must bounce below waist height when serving.
  • Points are scored like tennis: 15, 30, 40, game. Deuce and advantage points apply.
  • A point is won if the ball bounces twice or goes out.
  • Volleys are allowed, but not on the return of serve.
  • Games are fast, social, and easy to learn for beginners.
